1. Segovia
Segovia has all the characteristics to be an ideal destination for a romantic getaway. It’s perfectly beautiful, its important monuments made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s close to Madrid, and its cuisine is just exquisite.

- See the impressive, enormous ancient Roman Aqueduct of Segovia.
- Walk around the perfectly preserved old city walls and the historic center – the lighting of the walls gives the city a charming atmosphere.
- Visit the Cathedral and the Alcázar of Segovia, both immense and full of history – they are a visual pleasure!

Hi Annemieke, it really depends on your preferences. For top-notch extreme party, busy bars and nice beaches: Ibiza. For great beaches for much cheaper budget – Mallorca (the north is less crowded than the south). For more peace, nature and less crowds – Menorca.
